What’s On in Bath: This Weekend (May 15–17)

Bath has a lively mix of music, workshops and cultural events this weekend. There is something for everyone, whether you want live performances, early‑morning nature walks or creative sessions.

Friday 15 May – Music Across the City

Party in the City opens the weekend with free live music in more than 50 venues. You can walk between Bath Abbey, The Forum, Komedia and smaller pop‑up spaces. Each venue offers a different style, so it is easy to explore and enjoy the atmosphere.

If you prefer something louder, Underground Frome – Friday Night DnB starts at 7pm at The Tunnels Frome. For classical music fans, Bath Abbey hosts Rachmaninov’s 2nd Piano Concerto by Candlelight, performed by the Piccadilly Sinfonietta with pianist Warren Mailley‑Smith.

Saturday 16 May – Choirs and Local Events

Green Park Station hosts the Festival of Choirs on Saturday. More than 750 singers will perform from 3pm to 10pm. The covered space makes it easy to drop in and enjoy the music at any time.

In the evening, COVERTRONICs play at Prestbury Sports Bar with hits from the 1960s to today. If you enjoy early mornings, Bath City Farm offers a Dawn Chorus Experience. Wildlife expert Nick Patel leads a guided walk, followed by coffee and pastries.

Sunday 17 May – Workshops and Culture

CHOIRLAB takes place at the Roper Theatre on Sunday. It offers a full day of choir workshops for all ages and abilities. There are twelve styles to choose from, so it is a great chance to try something new.

At 6pm, FORM‑ica hosts a Q&A with writer Hettie Judah. The session focuses on art and contemporary culture in a relaxed setting.
