Yo! Sushi announces opening date for new Yo! To Go restaurant

Yo! Sushi has revealed when their new Yo! To Go restaurant will open in Bath.

The restaurant group is opening its second-ever Yo! To Go restaurant on Brunel Square in Vaults 1-3 on Friday, April 2.

Situated on Brunel Square (Vaults 1-3), the new ‘grab and go’ format makes grabbing food easy for peckish commuters and visitors, or those looking for a quick and healthy meal during their lunch break.

Emma Deabill, managing director UK and international restaurants at YO! said: “We’re delighted to finally be able to announce our arrival in Bath, and very excited to unveil our new grab and go concept – only our second Yo! To Go in the UK.

“We know that people often want the convenience of fast food but without having to compromise on quality and taste, and we think our Yo! To Go format offers the perfect mix of YO! favourites and delivers on the freshness that we’re known for.”

Back in July 2019, the restaurant group put in an application to open a restaurant in the vaults by Bath Spa Station.

Concerns were raised by The Bath Preservation Trust and Bath Heritage Watchdog that local traders would be affected.

The menu will feature a range of sushi sets freshly rolled each day, including YO! classics like the Sushi Sharer and Crunchy California Roll, as well as a selection of hot, fresh street food like the ever-popular Ramen, Katsu Curry and Gyoza.

With 13 different vegan dishes on the menu, there are plenty of meat and fish-free options for customers to enjoy.

To celebrate the launch, Yo! will be giving away 100 free click and collect meals, up to the value of £20, on March 31.

Participants will have to send an email with ‘WIN BATH’ in the subject line to hello@yosushi.com with their full name and the time they’d like to collect their meal.

The first 100 lucky people to email will then receive a code which they can use to place an order.

Yo! To Go Bath will also see the launch of its first-ever takeaway breakfast range, featuring ‘build your own’ breakfast baps drizzled with tonkatsu, banana and agave porridge, yogurt and berries, and a selection of pastries.

What’s more, coffee will be supplied by local coffee roastery Dusty Ape, offering customers a flavoursome specialty blend to enjoy alongside their breakfast.

Visitors to Yo! To Go Bath will be able to order using a QR code and pay through a digital menu on their phone.

There will also be QR codes on tables in the outside dining area, allowing customers to enjoy Yo! al-fresco as the warmer summer days arrive.

To avoid queues, customers can also order ahead and click and collect at a specific time – meaning no waiting around or missing trains, and a contactless free service to support social distancing.

Delivery through Deliveroo will also be available, allowing customers to enjoy fresh, Japanese food wherever they are.
