Hollywood actor Simon Pegg has revealed that he is not the only creative talent in the family.
Mr Pegg, 50, who grew up in Gloucester, has revealed that his daughter Matilda once headlined Glastonbury Festival with one of the country’s most popular bands.
Matilda, who was born in 2009, is the daughter of Mr Pegg and music industry publicist Maureen McCann, who he married four years earlier.
It just so happens they are close friends with rock star, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.
In a video feature for GQ Magazine, the Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz star was tasked with playing a game of ‘Would You Rather?’ A game that gives the participant a choice between two different scenarios to choose from.
During the game, he pulled out a card which asked ‘Would you rather headline Glastonbury or play at Wimbledon?’
The 50-year-old replied proudly: “My daughter has headlined Glastonbury, she sung backing vocals for Coldplay.”
Coldplay have performed at Pilton Farm a staggering six times after forming back in 1996.
