SUMMARY:Scented Ghost Tour Bath
DESCRIPTION:Looking for something different to do in Bath after dark? \nScented Ghost Tours Bath is a funny\, spooky and immersive walking tour through the haunted streets around Bath Abbey. This is not a standard history walk\, and it is not just another ghost tour. It is a theatrical\, sensory experience that combines chilling local stories\, dark comedy\, audience interaction and scratch-and-sniff scent cards to bring Bath’s ghostly past vividly to life. \nBath is beautiful by day\, but after dark the city feels different. The grand Georgian streets become quieter\, the shadows lengthen\, and the stories hiding behind the stone begin to stir. On this atmospheric evening tour\, you will follow your guide through historic streets and eerie corners while hearing tales of murder\, mystery\, tragedy\, restless spirits and the stranger side of Bath’s past. \nWhat makes this tour unusual is the use of scent. At key moments in the stories\, guests are given scent cards that connect directly to the scene being told. A smell can make a story feel more immediate\, more memorable and more unsettling. It is one thing to hear about a haunted room\, a plague-ridden street or a long-forgotten death. It is another thing to smell your way into the story. \nBut do not worry — this is not a grim lecture. Scented Ghost Tours Bath is designed to be eerie\, entertaining and surprisingly funny. Expect theatrical storytelling\, macabre humour\, playful audience moments and a shared atmosphere where guests laugh\, react\, listen and occasionally wonder why they agreed to sniff something so suspicious. \nThis tour is ideal for couples\, friends\, solo travellers\, visitors\, students\, families with older children\, groups and anyone who wants a memorable evening in Bath. It is especially suited to people looking for an experience that feels social\, unusual and a little bit wicked. Whether you are visiting Bath for the first time or live nearby and want to see the city differently\, this tour offers a fresh way to experience its darker stories. \nIf you are tired of ordinary sightseeing and want something with more atmosphere\, more personality and more goosebumps\, step into the shadows with Scented Ghost Tours Bath. \nCome for the ghosts. Stay for the laughs. Leave with the strange feeling that Bath’s past may have followed you home.

SUMMARY:Icons on Ammo Boxes Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:“Icons on Ammo Boxes” is a powerful art project created by Kyiv‑based artists Sonya Atlantova\, Oleksandr Klymenko\, and Herman Klymenko\, offering a striking artistic reflection on the Ukrainian–russian war. At its heart lies a profound transformation: turning an object of death — an ammo box — into a symbol of life\, expressed through the ancient tradition of Ukrainian icon painting.\nEach icon is painted on a real ammunition box brought from the frontlines. These fragments of war become silent witnesses\, carrying the physical and emotional weight of the conflict. By combining the harsh attributes of modern warfare with an artistic language rooted in the European Middle Ages\, the project reframes today’s war within a thousand years of Ukrainian and European history.\nThe icons transcend religious boundaries. They function not only as spiritual images but as cultural symbols accessible to all — in Ukraine\, across Europe\, and around the world.\nThis travelling exhibition has already been shown in some of the world’s most respected institutions\, including the European Parliament\, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine\, the Lithuanian Seimas\, the Scottish Parliament\, the Parliament of Finland\, St. Sophia of Kyiv\, and numerous embassies and cultural centres. It has visited 27 countries\, 142 cities\, and 277 venues\, from Berlin to Boston\, Johannesburg to Zurich\, London\, Los Angeles\, New York\, Rome\, Toronto\, and many more.\nSince 2015\, “Icons on Ammo Boxes” has supported vital charitable medical initiatives and humanitarian projects assisting Ukrainian soldiers and civilians affected by Russian aggression.\nThis free exhibition invites viewers to witness how art can confront war\, reclaim meaning\, and restore humanity — even on the most unlikely of canvases.\n\n“Icons on Ammo Boxes” exhibition in England and Wales is supported by Peli can live\, Rotary Club Guildford Chantries and Rotary Club Kyiv Capital. The event in Bath is organised by the Friends of Oleksandriya and hosted by Victoria Art Gallery.

SUMMARY:Hospice announces Moments of Light: a world premiere immersive light installation by internationally renowned artist\, Bruce Munro.
DESCRIPTION:Dorothy House is honoured to announce Moments of Light\, an extraordinary large‑scale three-month art installation created by internationally acclaimed light artist — and Dorothy House Ambassador — Bruce Munro.   \nThe world premiere of this artwork will transform acres of the Hospice’s Winsley grounds from 1 October to 31 December 2026\, marking the organisation’s 50th anniversary with a breathtaking immersive experience offering reflection\, connection\, and remembrance.   \nWorld class art\, nature and bereavement   \nBuilding on the success of Bruce Munro’s transformative global light installations in Australia\, Japan\, USA\, South Korea\, many European cities\, and his much‑loved permanent Firefly Woods installation at Dorothy House\, Moments of Light invites visitors to wander among thousands of illuminated forms\, creating a constellation of light that will seem to breathe with the landscape.   \nAlongside the existing Firefly installation within the Hospice woodland\, Moments of Light forms part of an evolving collaboration that uses creativity and nature to support people through grief\, offering comfort and connection. By drawing on light in the dark\, the installation speaks quietly of life continuing\, even in moments of loss.   \nTicketing \nWhile tickets are free\, visitors will be invited to make a suggested donation\, with all proceeds helping the Hospice continue to provide free\, specialist end of life care for people and their loved ones. Visitors will also have the opportunity to dedicate a light on a Firefly — a beautiful way to honour a loved one and become part of a growing constellation of remembrance.  \nWith bookable tickets released on 1 May 2026\, demand will be high. Dorothy House invites everybody to visit this once in lifetime installation to reflect\, to remember\, or to experience a moment of peace within the glow of Bruce Munro’s extraordinary vision.  \nA landmark moment in Dorothy House’s 50‑year story \nFor five decades\, Dorothy House has provided specialist care\, compassion and support to 75\,000 people in the last 1\,000 days of their lives. Moments of Light forms a centrepiece of its anniversary year\, opening the Winsley site to visitors from across the UK and inviting them to experience the work of a Hospice through a new creative lens.  \nWayne de Leeuw\, CEO\, Dorothy House\, said:\n“As part of our vision to create a society where death is part of life\, Moments of Light reflects the very heart of Dorothy House. For 50 years\, we have walked alongside people during some of the most tender moments of their lives. This installation brings that spirit of compassion and reflection to a wider community of individuals who will inevitably all encounter death and grief at some point in their lives.”  \nBruce Munro\, Artist & Dorothy House Ambassador\, said: \n“I am honoured to create this new work for Dorothy House as part of its anniversary celebrations. My hope is that Moments of Light will offer visitors a space to breathe\, reflect and feel held within an environment shaped by care\, beauty and nature.”  \nAbout Dorothy House\nDorothy House offers care\, comfort and compassion to people in the last 1\,000 days of their lives. We’re here when it counts\, helping people to live well\, die peacefully and feel supported in bereavement.   \nWe deliver specialist palliative and supportive care. SUMMARY:Bach Resounding
DESCRIPTION:Bath Bach Choir comes home to present an evening devoted to the master\, JS Bach\, pairing his intimate Mass in F and substantial Cantata BMV 21 with the familiar strains of the first ‘Brandenburg’ Concerto. \nBach’s four-movement Brandenburg Concerto No 1 opens the programme\, creating a sense of occasion with its rhythmic energy\, colourful orchestration and lively interplaynbetween strings\, wind and horns. \nBach’s Mass in F major brings warmth and expressive depth\, a compact and richly varied example of his sacred choral writing. The Mass sets the first two sections of the traditional Latin Mass: Kyrie (asking for mercy) and Gloria ( a joyful proclamation of praise)\, using a four-part choir with soloists\, strings\, wind and continuo. \nCantata BMV 21 is one of Bach’s most emotionally powerful cantatas\, less of a Baroque religious work than an exploration of the human experience of suffering\, hope and ultimately joy. It is scored for four vocal soloists\, chorus and orchestra.

SUMMARY:Seann Walsh - This Is Torture
DESCRIPTION:After his sell-out 2023 tour\, the UK’s dishevelled king of stand-up\, award-winning Seann Walsh returns with a brand-new hour of side-splitting comedy. I look forward to seeing you there.” \n‘A cracking good show’ – The Telegraph \n‘Unquestionably the best observational comic of his generation’ – The Guardian \n‘One of comedy’s hottest properties… very talented\, very funny’ – The Evening Standard \n‘He remains one of the most entertaining observational comics on the block’ – The Independent

This could fund a support session for a bereaved sibling to explore their emotions. \nThe evening begins at 6:45pm when we invite you to join us at Bath Cricket Club to register\, and collect your T-shirt and tealight to add to your candle bag. We recommend taking the candle bags with you on the route\, to help light your way and to create a shining trail of lights reflecting the loved ones no longer with us. \nAfter a short safety briefing\, we will begin the 5k Moonlight Memory Walk.
