Zenith Youth Theatre Company presents Hadestown, the Tony Award-winning musical by Anaïs Mitchell.

Hadestown is a bold and electrifying musical that retells the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through a powerful blend of folk, jazz and modern musical theatre.

In a world divided between the cold underground industry of Hadestown and the fragile beauty of the world above, two young lovers fight to hold onto hope. When Eurydice is drawn into the underworld by the promises of King Hades, Orpheus must journey into the depths to bring her home.  Guided by Hermes and surrounded by the voices of a powerful chorus, Orpheus challenges the rules of the underworld with nothing but a song.

This production places the ensemble at the heart of the storytelling, drawing on the traditions of the Greek chorus to create a vivid and immersive theatrical world.
