Shopping Malls & Markets

Bath is one of the UK’s top locations for a spa and retail therapy break. If you’re a fan of the latest fashions, sophisticated style and the very best brands, it simply must be at the top of the list for your next shopping trip.

The city is a shopper’s haven, packed full of leading fashion and homeware brands such as Jack Wills, Ted Baker, Karen Millen, Urban Outfitters, Jo Malone, Apple and Whistles to name but a few. Bath is fast becoming a second home to brands rarely found outside of London, including Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Brissi and The Kooples, testament to Bath’s excellent shopping offer.

Combined with an eclectic mix of interesting independents with their very individual approach to retail, plus quirky gift shops, imaginative home ware emporia, delicious delis, intriguing art galleries and fabulous bookshops, Bath really does have it all when it comes to retail therapy.

The compact city centre means that Bath can easily be explored on foot, from the modern SouthGate shopping area next to Bath Spa train station, right up to the independent boutiques tucked away between the Royal Crescent and Circus. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the picturesque lanes and passageways too, which are lined with delightful cafes and unique shops.

It’s a pleasure to discover and explore the city’s shops, located on elegant Georgian streets and nestled amongst stunning attractions such as the Abbey, the Roman Baths and Thermae Bath Spa.

Towards the end of the year the city becomes a magical place for festive shopping, with the Bath Christmas Market offering over 170 chalets, packed with handmade gifts and local produce.
